Happy New Zealand Victory!

Well, the time may be apt for wishing everyone a very Happy Holi! The advent of spring, oh, the colourful spring season. The fragrance of colours, the high of bhang, the fun of the celebrations, the family bonding, the breaking down of barriers, that's the essence of Holi. But sadly, in these festivities we missed out on an important achievement of blue-attired men of our country in a faraway land. Away from all the celebrations, far from their families, these men have achieved a milestone that has thwarted the annals of 62-years of history. Finally, Indians have emerged winners in this little island down under called New Zealand.
They are formidable, the Kiwis, no two views about it, and lethal and sharp. But they have found their nemesis, alas! Every plan, every manoeuvre has been blown in the whoosh of the Indian bats. Goliath has been brought to his knees, the minautor has been tamed in its own den. If last week brought tragedy to the portals of cricketing spirit, this week we Indians have our own special reasons to pop the bubbly. It's an announcement to the world, to the kangaroos, the proteas, the kiwis, the lions, we are mammoths and we are here to stay, to rule the cricketing kingdom. The juggernaut has just begun to roll, beware anyone who would dare to step in way.
There is no way, I repeat, no way I can crown the head of a single individual in this herculean effort, it is the team that has performed, the team that has toiled, the team that has won, the nation that has been made proud and the game that has been elevated.
So this Holi, I would like to salute the spirit of these men-in-blue (now dark blue). Eleven men of honour who have brought feathers for the country. Wish you a Happy Holi, guys and THANK YOU!

You can't expect India to win always! Even Australia lost to Zimbabwe at the pinnacle of its match winning prowess. Don't forget India is playing New Zealand on their home turfs.
